BlockiMe builds browser extensions that help you stay focused and browse safely. This Privacy Policy explains what information our extensions and websites handle, how we protect it, and what choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we do not sell your data, and we never track your browsing history.
To provide blocking and security features, the extensions store the following data locally in your browser: your block list (domains, pages, keywords, categories and schedules), extension settings (focus mode, protection options, redirect URLs), local statistics (how many times a rule was triggered), and an optional protection password hash if you enable this feature. Browser Guard also stores downloaded filter lists, threat signatures, trusted sites and a local event journal so you can review detections.
We do not collect your browsing history, search queries, form data, passwords (except an optional local hash), IP address, device identifiers, or any personally identifiable information. We do not use cookies, analytics scripts, telemetry pixels or third-party tracking on our websites or inside our extensions.
All extension data is stored locally in Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local). If you are signed in to Chrome with sync enabled, your block list and settings are synchronized between your devices by Google as part of the standard Chrome sync feature, governed by the Google Privacy Policy. If sync is unavailable, the extension falls back to local storage on the current device.
BlockiMe Site Blocker does not make any network requests. Browser Guard downloads signed filter and threat list updates from our infrastructure. These requests contain only the information necessary to retrieve the bundle (such as the bundle version already installed). We do not include user identifiers, browsing data or extension state in these requests. Optional cloud download reputation checks send only the download URL and only if you explicitly opt in.
Our websites are hosted on Netlify. Our extensions may reference public filter lists maintained by independent projects such as EasyList, EasyPrivacy, AdGuard and uBlock Origin. We do not control these third-party lists and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
You can view, modify or delete your block list and settings at any time inside the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. To remove synced data, uninstall the extension and clear your Chrome sync data at chrome.google.com/sync.
BlockiMe extensions and websites are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published at this URL with a new Last updated date.
